Comments:
The SPJC-16E is an all-solid-wood acoustic guitar built around Martin’s J-size jumbo body, with a single cutaway for easier access to the upper frets. The model combines the fuller air movement and projection associated with a jumbo body with mahogany back and sides, which generally give the instrument a focused, direct character. The guitar was designed for both acoustic and amplified use, and factory-equipped with an onboard Fishman Prefix Plus system, incorporating an under-saddle pickup and side-mounted preamp controls. The model was manufactured for a relatively brief period (2000–2002), making it an uncommon model compared within Martin’s line-up.
